Trust, rules & legal
ChaseFiends is a listings, offer-management, reputation, and community platform for digital sports card collectors. It is not a payment processor, escrow service, or custodian of digital cards. Final legal terms should be reviewed by a qualified attorney.
Terms of Service
By using ChaseFiends, you agree that ChaseFiends is a listings, offer-management, reputation, and community platform for digital sports card collectors.
ChaseFiends allows users to create listings, make and receive offers, communicate with other users, and view community feedback. ChaseFiends does not process payments, hold funds, transmit money, provide escrow, custody digital cards, transfer digital cards, verify card ownership, guarantee transactions, or act as a buyer, seller, broker, dealer, payment processor, or financial intermediary.
All payments, refunds, chargebacks, card transfers, and transaction arrangements occur off-platform and directly between users or through third-party services chosen by the users.
You are solely responsible for your listings, offers, communications, payment arrangements, purchases, sales, transfers, taxes, and compliance with any third-party card app, payment provider, or platform involved.
ChaseFiends does not guarantee the existence, ownership, authenticity, transferability, legality, value, rarity, condition, availability, or continued availability of any listed digital card. ChaseFiends is not responsible for failed sales, unpaid buyers, non-delivering sellers, chargebacks, payment reversals, payment holds, third-party app bans, account restrictions, account terminations, or actions taken by third-party card publishers, payment providers, banks, or platforms.
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction and must comply with all applicable laws and the terms of any third-party app, payment service, or platform involved.
Privacy Policy
We collect the account information you provide, including email, username, display name, avatar, bio, listings, offers, messages, reviews, forum threads and posts, comments, reports, dispute evidence, and technical usage data required to operate and protect the platform. We may also retain platform activity records related to listings, offers, accepted offers, completed-deal confirmations, reviews, and disputes.
We do not sell your personal data.
What is public. Your username, display name, avatar, bio, listings, forum posts, comments, reviews you leave, reviews you receive, verified status, badges, and completed-deal totals may be visible to other users or the public.
Sold-listing history, completed-deal history, and sale prices may appear in public sold comps, marketplace analytics, or community activity features. By default, these records may include the seller's username. Buyer usernames on completed sales are hidden from the public sales report unless otherwise shown in the applicable product feature.
Ratings, badges, completed-deal totals, sold comps, and other public signals are community and platform activity indicators only. They are not guarantees of user trustworthiness, card ownership, payment, transfer, safety, or future performance.
What is private. Your email address, saved payment handles, billing information, watchlist, saved searches, notifications, private messages, dispute evidence, and admin notes are not shown publicly.
Payment handles are stored only for user convenience and may be revealed to the counterparty of a specific accepted offer or transaction arrangement. ChaseFiends does not use saved payment handles to process payments, move funds, provide escrow, issue refunds, or resolve chargebacks.
Leaderboard opt-out. You can hide your name, avatar, and profile link from public leaderboards in Settings → Privacy. Your totals may still count toward rankings, but you will appear as "Anonymous ChaseFiend".
Account deletion and retention. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone. When you do:
- Your profile is permanently renamed, for example deleted-user-42, and your display name, avatar, bio, and verified status are cleared.
- Your watchlist, saved searches, notifications, saved payment handles, and billing information are permanently erased.
- Your listings, offers, completed-deal records, reviews given and received, disputes, forum threads and posts, listing comments, and messages may be retained and attributed to your anonymized deleted-user-N handle. These records are kept to preserve the accuracy of counterparty history, ratings, sold comps, community records, and dispute history.
- Deletion is permanent. Once a profile is marked deleted, it cannot be restored or edited.
If you need additional data removed for a legal reason, such as a takedown request or jurisdictional privacy request, contact an admin through the reports flow so it can be reviewed.
Community & Listing Rules
- Only list cards you actually control in the corresponding third-party card app.
- Listing information must be accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- Do not list stolen, fraudulent, unavailable, misrepresented, duplicated, or inaccessible cards.
- Do not misrepresent card details, rarity, serial number, edition, app, transferability, ownership, price, payment status, or transfer status.
- Do not scam, harass, threaten, impersonate, dox, phish, spam, manipulate ratings, evade bans, or use fake or duplicate accounts.
- Ratings, reviews, disclosures, completed-deal confirmations, and dispute evidence must be honest and based on real interactions.
- ChaseFiends may suspend, restrict, remove, hide, or limit users, listings, offers, ratings, reviews, messages, forum content, or other content at its discretion.
Buyer and Seller Risk Notice
ChaseFiends does not provide buyer protection, seller protection, payment protection, chargeback protection, escrow, transaction insurance, refunds, or guarantees.
ChaseFiends does not guarantee delivery, payment, ownership, value, rarity, authenticity, transferability, legality, or continued availability of any digital card.
Ratings, badges, verified status, completed-deal totals, sold comps, reviews, and dispute records are community trust signals only. They are not guarantees.
Before entering into any transaction arrangement, users should review the other party's rating history, recent feedback, sold comps, profile details, and any available transaction history. Users should also confirm the transfer process, payment method, fees, and third-party app rules before sending payment or transferring a card.
All payments and transfers happen off-platform and at the users' own risk.
Seller Rules
- Only list cards you actually hold and can access in the corresponding third-party card app.
- Respond promptly to accepted offers and buyer communications.
- Do not misrepresent rarity, serial number, card count, app, edition, availability, ownership, transferability, or any other material detail.
- If you agree to a deal, you are responsible for coordinating payment and card transfer directly with the buyer outside of ChaseFiends.
- If ChaseFiends provides a transaction, offer, or completion workflow, that workflow is for communication, recordkeeping, reputation, and community-safety purposes only. It does not mean ChaseFiends processes payment, guarantees payment, holds funds, verifies card ownership, or controls the card transfer.
- Repeated policy violations may result in account suspension, feature limits, listing removal, review removal, or account removal.
Dispute Policy
Either buyer or seller may open a dispute for issues such as non-transfer, non-payment, misrepresentation, harassment, abusive behavior, fake evidence, or other suspected rule violations.
Disputes may include evidence uploads, including screenshots, messages, payment confirmations, transfer confirmations, card app activity, and transaction logs.
ChaseFiends admins may review disputes for platform-safety and rule-enforcement purposes. Admins may request additional information, warn users, suspend users, remove listings, limit listing ability, hide or remove reviews, adjust reputation signals, or take other platform actions.
ChaseFiends does not adjudicate legal or financial claims. ChaseFiends does not determine who is legally owed money or cards, does not order refunds, does not reverse payments, does not force third-party card transfers, does not compensate users, and does not guarantee recovery of funds or digital cards.
Users are responsible for resolving payment disputes, chargebacks, refunds, and transfer issues directly with each other, with their payment provider, or with the applicable third-party card app.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited:
- Fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, fake evidence, or misrepresentation.
- Selling, buying, or transferring stolen, compromised, hacked, unauthorized, or inaccessible accounts or cards.
- Selling accounts, evading bans, or using ChaseFiends to facilitate violations of third-party platform rules.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, targeted abuse, or intimidation.
- Automated scraping, spam offers, fake activity, fake accounts, duplicate accounts, coordinated manipulation, or manipulation of ratings, reviews, search, sold comps, offers, or reputation.
- Selling anything illegal in the seller's or buyer's jurisdiction.
- Posting or facilitating raffles, lotteries, gambling, betting, paid randomizers, paid mystery outcomes, or chance-based prize activity unless expressly approved in writing by ChaseFiends.
- Using ChaseFiends to process payments, provide escrow, launder funds, evade taxes, evade payment-platform rules, or engage in unlawful activity.
Digital Goods Disclaimer
Digital sports cards are typically issued, controlled, modified, transferred, restricted, suspended, or removed by third-party publishers and platforms, including companies such as Topps, Fanatics, Panini, Sorare, Dapper Labs, and others.
ChaseFiends is not affiliated with these publishers, leagues, teams, players, payment providers, or card apps unless explicitly stated.
ChaseFiends does not create, issue, sell, own, custody, verify, or control digital cards listed by users.
Some third-party apps may restrict or prohibit secondary-market activity. The ability to transfer a digital card depends on the third-party publisher's terms, policies, technical systems, account status, and enforcement decisions.
Users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the rules of any third-party app or service they use. ChaseFiends is not responsible if a third-party app restricts, reverses, disables, suspends, removes, or refuses a transfer, card, account, or related activity.
Tax Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for determining, reporting, collecting, and paying any taxes, fees, or other obligations that may apply to their buying, selling, trading, or other activity.
ChaseFiends does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice.
Users should consult their own tax, legal, or financial advisor if they have questions about income, gains, losses, sales tax, reporting thresholds, payment-app reporting forms, business activity, or any other tax or legal obligations.
ChaseFiends may maintain records of platform activity for operational, analytics, dispute, legal, tax, or compliance purposes, but those records are not a substitute for a user's own recordkeeping obligations.
Subscription Terms
ChaseFiends may offer free and paid subscription tiers.
The free tier may include limited active listings, offers, messaging, ratings, or other basic features. Paid tiers may include additional volume tools, featured placement, analytics, storefront features, premium badges, advanced search, alerts, sold comps, want lists, or other features.
Subscription badges, premium placement, paid features, or account status do not mean that a user is safer, verified, endorsed, guaranteed, or more trustworthy.
Billing is handled through a third-party payment provider. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, and access continues through the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated at purchase.
Subscription payments are separate from user-to-user card transactions. ChaseFiends does not process buyer-to-seller payments for digital cards and does not provide escrow, buyer protection, seller protection, or transaction guarantees.
Short Transaction Warning
ChaseFiends is a community listings platform only. Payments and card transfers happen off-platform between users. ChaseFiends does not process payments, hold funds, provide escrow, verify card ownership, guarantee transfers, or protect against chargebacks or scams. Use caution, keep records, and deal only with users you trust.
Buyer Match Privacy
Buyer Match lets sellers send an in-app notification to collectors whose stated interests match a listing's tags. Sellers never see your email, private profile info, or your full interest list — only that you matched, and general match reasons (e.g. "player: Ja Morant"). You can opt out entirely or mute specific sellers in Settings → Buyer Match Notifications. Sellers are limited in how many notifications they can send per day, and every send is logged for abuse review.
These pages are provided as marketplace-owned editable content. They do not constitute legal advice. Final legal terms should be reviewed by a qualified attorney familiar with your jurisdiction.
